What is Dementia Home Care?
Home is a special place to all of us, a familiar environment that is filled with happy memories, but for many people with dementia, continuing to live independently at home is a struggle. This where the our team can help.
Dementia Home Care (sometimes known as ‘dementia home help’) is a specialist service in Greater Manchester that helps people with dementia to continue to live independently in their own homes.
How we can help…
We deliver a range of support to people with dementia in their own homes, day and night, to give them security, independence and comfort. Including:-
Whether you want our support every day or for just a few hours a week, we will provide you with a package of support that is specifically built around you and your needs.
We know how important it is for you to feel safe and comfortable with the people coming into your home. All our specialist dementia home care support workers are fully CRB checked and are committed to providing you with a professional, friendly and supportive service. Where possible, you will be supported by a consistent staff team, so you can develop a great relationship with your carers and they can become familiar with you and your needs.
Unlike many traditional ‘dementia home help’ services, every member of the team receives specialist dementia training and qualifications, meaning that they understand the condition and how it affects the people they support. By seeing the world through your eyes, they can offer you comfort and support, and help you to maintain your lifestyle, routines and independence.
Flexibility and choice
We believe that good dementia home care needs to be flexible so we ensure that our appointments are convenient to you. If you want to schedule your appointments weeks in advance this is possible, but equally if you prefer to arrange your support closer to the time that you receive it, we will try to accommodate you at short notice.
Our dementia home care service will support you through any challenge that you may face. Should you ever be in a crisis situation, such as your usual carers being unavailable or you becoming ill, you can call on us and we will support you at the earliest possible opportunity.
